Bert Svendsen is one of Nick's assistants and long time friend. Bert arrived in the Yampa Valley in 1976 as a teacher. He taught and coached at the Steamboat Springs middle school and high school for 25 years, retiring from that position in 2001. Following retirement, he moved into the construction business and then eventually beginning a career in real estate during the spring of 2006 with Nick.
